Touching Hearts : CERAC'S Humanitarian Caravan In East Region

Vulnerable people in Kadey Division received diverse gifts from the charitable organisation of the First Lady of Cameroon on Saturday July 5, 2025.
Saturday, July 5, 2025, will be etched in memory for the East Region, particularly to inhabitants in the Kadey Division. Residents from Batouri, Bombé, Kette, Mbang, Mbotoro, Ndelele and Nguelebok gathered at the Nguelebok ceremonial ground to express heartfelt gratitude, "Ossoko" in their dialect, to the First Lady of Cameroon and Founding President of the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC). CERAC's charitable caravan visited the locality to handover special donations to health facilities, rural women, youth, and vulnerable persons. The occasion was marked by a significant moment of appreciation and community gathering, attended by the population, several government Ministers, local authorities, and the Governor of the East Region.
Minister Minette Libom Li Likeng née Mendomo of Posts and Telecommunications represented the First Lady at the event, which included six speeches, gratitude songs and a symbolic gift handover. As one of the Vice Presidents of CERAC's College of Advisers, Minette Libom Li Likeng conveyed the First Lady's message to beneficiaries, underscoring CERAC's commitment to supporting public authorities in enhancing the lives of society's most vulnerable members. She emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in driving social progress, requiring the mobilisation of human and material resources. While noting that the government remains committed to ensuring development and progress in every locality, Minette Libom Li Likeng underlined that CERAC's initiatives demonstrate that social progress is a shared endeavour. “Everyone must be involved and contribute to this collective effort. The beneficiaries, for instance, must utilise the gifts responsibly”, she underscored.
Nguelebok Mayor, Emmanuel Loumboua emphasized the significance of the donation, which aims to enhance living standards and foster national unity among residents. He highlighted the community's main activities, including agriculture and livestock farming, noting the shortage of vital tools, particularly for rural women. On behalf of the beneficiaries, Dorcasse Ndjengondou expressed gratitude to CERAC for the donation, comprising agricultural materials, school supplies, medical equipment, office equipment, and maintenance tools.
