Serge Espoir Matomba : Counting On 2018 Experience

The candidacy of Serge Espoir Matomba is amongst the 13 validated by Elections Cameroon on July 26, 2025 for the October Presidential election. It is the second time he will be participating in the Presidential election as the flag bearer of the United People for Social Renovation (PURS), after his maiden attempt in 2018 where he emerged seventh. 
Serge Espoir Matomba, born on September 30, 1979, in Douala, Littoral Region, is a Cameroonian politician. He is the First Secretary of PURS and has been a Municipal Councillor for Douala IV since 2013, re-elected in 2020 to the same position and later Municipal Councillor at the Douala City Council. He has always explained that his reasons for joining politics is because he wants to use his positions to inculcate some moral values in the population, which according to him will easily improve their living conditions.
