North West : Ongoing Distribution Of Voter Cards

Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) has put in place practical measures to facilitate the process.

Since the convening of electors to the polls for the October 12, 2025 presidential election, potential voters have been showing a noticeable enthusiasm in the North West Region to collect their voter cards in order to perform their civic duties of choosing the President of the Republic. The North West Regional Delegate of Elections Cameroon (ELECAM), Mbowoh Elvis told Cameroon Tribune over telephone that the operation was going on well.
The practical distribution of the cards is done at the level of Council Branches of ELECAM. The Bamenda I Council Branch has been the epicenter in the region with key strategies put in place to ensure that the maximum number of registered voters collect their cards. In the Bamenda I Council Branch Office in Up station Bamenda on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, some potential voters were seen coming to check and collect their cards. The Bamenda I ELECAM Branch Head Yaya Saidou Jibrill said they have taken practical measures to ensure the success of the operation. The staff has been divided into three teams. One is permanent in the office and two are on the field. He said that on the field teams are on specific neighbourhoods like Hotspot, Entrance to the Bamendankwe Palace, Blue moon, National Gendarmerie and Army Camps.
