The university students on August 22, 2025 in Yaounde presented their innovative, digital-based business projects. Sequel to 10 weeks of intensive practicum training and mentoring.
DigiMark Consulting, an entrepreneurial, hands-on training institution on Friday, August 22, 2025 in Ekie, Yaounde showcased the projects of its latest set of interns. All from public universities and private university institutes in Yaounde, Douala, Buea, Bafoussam and Bamenda. A total of about 110 enterprising students bent on making a difference in their careers. By creating their own companies and start-ups, as well as creating jobs for others.
They Came, They Saw!
And so, hundreds of parents and curious members of the public thronged the site of the event to see for themselves the transformation Digimark Consulting has effected in 10 weeks of practicum internship. An entirely different environment from the classroom theoretical lessons the students have been accustomed to.
10 Weeks Of Total Transformation
“It was an opportunity for the interns to showcase the amazing ideas and projects they developed during 10 weeks of internship with Digital Consulting. The students, who were about 110 in number, produced 12 projects in groups of 12. Each project bears an innovation and entrepreneurial skills. Each of them is also a future company and a future start-up that solves a real world problem. These projects all respect marketing principles in order to become much-sought-after products on the market,” explained Deyou Cyril, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Digimark Consulting.
Marketable Projects
Among the products is DigiConnect, which brings universities and students to a single platform for the exchange of knowledge and resources. There is also NEXA, the Artificial Intelligence robot which serves as a hospitality agent in hotels, restaurants and hospitals. Other projects are Wed Check, a dating platform to check on the past life of a fiancé(e) before going into marriage; the used in e-commerce by employing augmented reality ….
From Different Backgrounds
“This was the first phase of internship training of 10 weeks. The students will now return to their universities for more classes. Then come back for another internship training. After which each of the 12 projects will be transformed into companies and start-ups,” Deyou went on. Meanwhile, the interns came from various academic backgrounds - computer engineering in general, telecommunication, marketing… “In future, we intend to expand by accepting students in business and management,” DigiMark’s CEO promised.
Highly Appreciated Services
Digimark Consulting was founded in 2022. It now runs two training centres in Yaounde – Carrefour de l’Amitie, Ekie and Carrefour TKC, Biyem-Assi. Friday’s set of students was the fourth batch Digimark has so far trained. Having already received and mentored, through practicum internships, over 200 university students.
“Digimark Consulting has partnerships with several public universities and private university institutes. Reason why they keep sending their students to us for internship. Recently, two founders of university institutes in Yaounde and Bafoussam visited us to appreciate the great work we do for their students. In fact, our interns advertise us!” commented Deyou Cyril with a grin.
