Diplomacy : Senegalese Ambassador Takes Office

Malick Diouf presented the advance copies of his lettres of credence to Minister Mbella Mbella on June 26, 2025.

The newly designated Ambassador of Senegal to Cameroon, Malick Diouf has presented the advance copies of his lettres of credence to the Minister of External Relations, Mbella Mbella. This was during an audience the Minister gran- ted the diplomat on June 26, 2025. The maiden audience between the two personalities was a platform to familiarise and outline cooperation areas on bilateral and multilateral basis. Ambassador Malick Diouf counts 24 years of experience in the public ser- vice, with 15 of those years in diplo- macy and international relations, and nine years in the field of pedagogy. Going by the professional career of the now head of Senegal’s diplomatic mission in Cameroon, he has a solid knowledge of public service as well as considerable experience in mana- ging State affairs. Born on February 3, 1971, Malick Diouf studied diplo- macy at the National School of Ad- ministration in Dakar. He also studied pedagogy at the Higher Teachers’ Training College of Dakar. Prior to his appointment as Ambas- sador of Senegal to Cameroon, he was Ambassador, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of African In- tegration and Foreign Affairs, since February 2023. From January 2021 to February 2023, Malick Diouf was Technical Advisor to the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad, responsible for monitoring files related to regional integration, bilateral cooperation with countries in Africa, Europe as well as economic partnerships.
