SDF : Party Already Raising Campaign Funds

Millions have already been collected with officials saying it would enable their Presidential candidate embark on a nationwide campaign at the given time.
Going by Section 87 of the Electoral Code, election campaigns open on the 15th day proceeding the election and close at midnight on the eve of the election day. With the Presidential election slated for October 12, 2025, official campaigns are therefore scheduled to begin on September 27. Ahead of this day, the Social Democratic Front is already mobilising funds for its Presidential flagbearer, Joshua Osih. Millions have already been generated to that effect and the resources are being handed to the treasury of the party for the intended objective. There is no specific amount expected for party sympathisers as it has been termed a free-will donation to help the candidacy of their National Chairman during the campaign phase. However, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) are obliged to contribute a hundred thousand francs each, going by the internal rules and regulations of the party. Besides the obligation amount, the NEC meetings can then voluntarily contribute any other sum.
Senior officials of the party note that they are mobilising the funds so as to prepare some gadgets which will be used by their candidate during the campaigns.
