Accidents, traffic congestion and floods in the area are blamed on urban disorder
Douala II Subdivision’s myriad of insecurity cases now has a new force to dismantle. Didier Bidja is the DO of Douala II Subdivision. He was commissioned into his functions at the esplanade of the Divisional Office in New Bell to replalce Garba Bakari, who has served for six and a half years and was transferred to Nkongsamba I in the Moungo Division of the Littoral.
Being an administrator with a wealth of experience, the new DO is expected to give a new momentum to the fight against high banditry and criminality, urban disorder, illegal sales of pharmaceutical products, tax evasion, and ensure public hygiene and sanitation and maintain the harmony enjoyed by political parties in Douala II with a majority of CPDM militants.
While commissioning the new executive of Douala II, the Prefect of Wouri, Joseph Bertrand Mache Njouonwet, described Douala II as cosmopolitan, dynamic and complex. He admonished the DO to have a sense of anticipation, as the administrative unit has dangerous bandits that rob the population of properties and sometimes kill and to collaborate with traditional rulers, quarter heads ...
