Unity Village : Official Opening Tomorrow

The National Museum is slowly taking shape to wear the colours of this year’s National Unity and Integration Village.


In anticipation of the 53rd edition of Cameroon’s National Day, the esplanade of the National Museum in Yaounde is gradually transforming into a vibrant arena of cultural expression, civic engagement, and youthful energy. From May 13 to 19, 2025, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education will host the National Unity and Integration Village, a platform designed to celebrate and promote national unity, patriotism, and peaceful coexistence. The official opening ceremony is slated for May 15, 2025 
This year’s choice of venue, the historic National Museum, adds a symbolic touch to the festivities. As one of Cameroon’s most iconic cultural landmarks, the museum will not only house this civic village but also embody the spirit of unity through its heritage. The space is already buzzing with early preparations. Ministries and companies who have reserved exhibition spaces on ground are installing canopies and chairs, marking activity zones, and arranging exhibition stands, each echoing the theme of this year’s celebration: “Living Together in Peace and Civic Harmony.” The event aims to offer inclusive spaces where the public sector, civil society, and international partners can engage with young people in meaningful discussions and educational activities.
