National Gendarmerie : Unity Celebrated

The National Gendarmerie headquarters in Yaounde was filled with camaraderie on May 21, 2025, as it hosted the traditional corps meal ceremony to mark the culmination of the 53rd National Day celebrations. The event, held in the presence of the Secretary of State to the Minister of Defence in charge of the National Gendarmerie, Yves Galax Etoga, as well as numerous high-ranking officers, underscored a spirit of unity and mutual respect within the security forces.
The ceremony provided a unique opportunity for senior officials to commune with their subordinates in a convivial and respectful atmosphere. From the moment of arrival, top officials were observed greeting their subordinates with warm smiles and gestures of respect. This spirit of camaraderie continued throughout the ceremony, which was further enhanced by engaging artistic presentations.
Secretary of State Galax Etoga embodied this conviviality. His genuine engagement was particularly evident when he stood up to encourage members of the corps who stood out in the “Cross MINDEF” competition.
